Random...

I feel like I've been so busy lately that I haven't taken any pictures and I haven't had time to post anything, but here are a few cute random pictures and thoughts...Alayna and I are babysitting my friend Ashley's little baby - Topher - while she finishes teaching school...so we have had a lot of fun. Alayna let Topher lay in her lap for a second and I got this cute picture. She really likes him and gets really concerned when he cries unless she wants my attention too. Last week it was really funny because just out of the blue - she was starting to get tired and wanted my full attention and told me "Mama, Topher - night, night" - I just had to chuckle because she knew that if Topher was having a nap - I was hers 100%.

This last month we had a lot of birthdays - here is Alayna with Grandma and Kali on Kali's birthday. She was so funny because I told her that it was Kali's birthday and she told Kali about her birthday expectations..."Kali - Happy Birthday to you - blue candle - fire! - blow it." She was so excited but when it came time to light the candle - she quickly became petrified and said, "oh, scary!"
I have had a few really funny conversations with Alayna lately - I am pretty sure her brain goes nonstop. About a month ago we had this conversation as we were looking out the window:
Alayna: Mama, chicken outside...
Me: A chicken?
Alayna: Chicken!
Me: What's the chicken doing?
Alayna: Kickin'
Me: What's the chicken kickin'?
Alayna: Kitty!
I laughed so hard - her imagination just had me going. Then today we were eating outside on the patio with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Lloyd and we had this conversation...
Alayna: Oh mom, scary?
Me: What's scary Alayna?
Alayna: Pirate
Me: Where?
Alayna points....
Me: What's the pirate doing?
Alayna: Eating.
Me: What's the pirate eating?
Alayna: Doggy!
I don't know how she came up with that one - but we all had a good laugh!
