Benson was trying to get into his bouncy chair - so I helped him up...its a little bit to little.

She is just dying to use a knife (yikes), so I taught her to use the carrot peeler instead and she thought it was pretty cool!

What a Weekend!

This last weekend on Saturday I ran in a 6K(3.72 miles) race at Thanksgiving Point. There were 1800 women there - crazy...a little bit claustrophobic, but I actually had a lot of fun doing it. It is the first time I have run a race since my Freshman year of High school - 14 years ago (yikes, I'm old!!) I really only started running in September so I was really pleased when I was able to accomplish my goals of running the whole time and completing the race in less than 45 min.

I was lucky to have some really great supporters - cheering me on.

There was plenty of fun things to do to keep Alayna entertained.

I finished 233 overall and ran 3.72 miles in 40:46 - which is a 10:56 minute mile. As soon as I finished my race we got in the car and headed south for a quick 24 hour visit to see Baby Kamree be blessed.

We also got to see Aunt Kasey leave for her homecoming date.

September...Long Past Due

I haven't really been in a blogging mood lately, but I did really want to get a few cute pictures up from September. We were able to sneak away to the Brown's cabin for Labor Day weekend and had a great time. Here are Alayna, Benson, and Brayden just waking up.

Alayna's rock probably had about twenty layers of color on it. She is kind of a spazz when she poses for pictures sometimes.

Benson and Kamree will be in the same grade when they start school - hard to believe huh?!

Alayna always sits around Benson so he is "sitting" on her lap and then she grabs him and they roll onto their backs - laughing and crying - it goes both ways depending on how tight she squeezes. I love when they play "happily" together!

9 Months!

I can't even believe Benson is 9 months - where has the last year gone?! I feel like I haven't updated the blog forever, but we were having computer problems...so now that everything is better - I can hopefully put together a few posts from this last month within the next few days.

We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Brown come see us last weekend and spoil all of us! We had a great time at the Farmer's Market - where I had the most delicous Belgian Waffles smothered in Belgian Dark Chocolate...and we all had Belgian Frites - the most delicious french fries in the world. (I forgot the camera that day, but next time we go back I will take a picture!)

My cute kids - Benson loves Alayna so much - he watches her and talks to her all day. He loves when she slows down to play with him, but she can be a little rough sometimes - like in this picture...

We are so lucky to have Benson in our family - he is so happy and content. He is a mathematical genious already! He scoots around in circles and affixes himself at the precise angle to his destination then rolls in a straight line wherever he wants to go. It is so cute to watch. He can get anywhere he wants using this method and pretty fast too.

Benson loves to play - especially with Alayna , Mom, and Dad. He babbles all day - and says Mama, Dada, and Nana (Alayna) all the time. He is so spoiled. We love him so much and are so glad that he is part of our family.

Today we found out at the Doctor that Benson weighs 20 lbs and is 28 inches long - both are about 50th percentile - where he has consistently been - to me he just seems so big, but he is very average.
